More Food That Looks Like Stuff
food, Fun December 5th, 2007I’m delighted to announce an addition to the Food That Looks Like Stuff collection. This piece, dubbed Bagel #9, was submitted by reader Heather Simoneau. Of course, if you turn it upside down, it can be Bagel #6 to you.
She reported it was found in a package of Thomas’ plain bagels at a SuperFresh store in Bethlehem, PA. Pour yourself a cup of coffee and enjoy!
Stumble it!

Hi Kathy,
It looks like a 6, or a 9 upside down. But to me, just to be different, I say it looks like a comma! Ha ha. Good stuff. You have me digging through my refrigerator for food that looks like stuff and I can’t find anything except food that doesn’t look like what it is supposed to be anymore. Correct me if I am wrong, but carrots are orange, not BLUE, right? Have a great night. -Mike.

@ Mike — Ooooo! The bagel can be numeric AND literary! Gotta love that. You make me scared of your fridge. Tonight’s “put the garbage out” night and I’ll be doing a sweep on my own. I have some unidentifiable things in there. They need to go!

I’m not sure, but I think a 9 would taste better than a 6.

@ Regan — I keep looking for your two pictures to be posted at the Quotations blog, but maybe the author is backed up. I sent one in a while back that’s not up either.
@ JD — You know me. Any number would taste good 🙂

and I thought bagels were uninteresting..who new you could get versions in 6….9 and I imagine other numbers as well…
December 6th, 2007 at 1:52 am
Hey, Robert. I asked Heather (the one who submitted the picture) if she found numbers 1-8 in the box. Alas, it was only 9 (or 6, depending on your view). I suppose you could make a case that since the rest were all properly formed, she was left with a box of zeros 🙂

Funny how a bagel could be construed as a Rorshach test, but I saw a Ninja with arms raised above his head in the center of the bagel.
The ninja is facing east (to the right).
I went back to verify he’s facing east and then I saw MC Hammer in his parachute pants bustin’ a move with arms over his head to the left. (Can’t touch this…)
Umm. I don’t know what that means. Maybe I want a Ninja to throw an aluminum ninja star at MC Hammer?
Really, I would prefer a Ninja to throw an aluminum ninja star at my sister’s husband AND our former priest.
There you go, I have anger issues and they can be boiled down to a mere bagel.
Thanks for helping me clarify that Kathy. Therapy via doughy goodness.
You can’t touch THAT.

@ CardioGirl — Oh, you make me laugh, you do. Except now I’ll be singing “Can’t Touch This” all day. Somehow I’ll make you pay for that.

Hi! Seeing I am from Downunder, the way I see it, it has to be the number 6. Regards Peter

@ Regan — Can’t do much about the commenting thing. Just keep leaving whatever name you like, wherever you can put it.
@ Peter — Whatever the number, it’s making me hungry to look at it. 6? 9? Just put some cream cheese on it!
@ Alan — Thanks for the blogroll addition. Mmmmmm, blogroll…..

Cyperpunk — Whoever said you can’t live on bread and water alone never saw a yummy bagel like that. I could totally subsist on bread.
