Doofus
embarrassing June 7th, 2011So yeah. I was chatting online with a friend who gives me inspiration to workout every day.
I told her that with new leg and butt exercises, I’m really seeing and feeling results there and was thrilled about it.
So much that I’m convinced “my ice cream brings all the boys to the yard.”
Except that that’s not the correct lyric.
It’s not ice cream. It’s milkshake.
My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard.
And then all the boys stand around laughing at me because I’m old and shouldn’t be trying to quote the lyrics of songs meant for hot, young things.
The end.
Stumble it!

Did the men break out with a round of Baby got back?

No shame in misquoting the lyrics of a crappy song. Now a good song, that’s another thing all together!
June 7th, 2011 at 6:59 pm
Number 1, Your ice cream or your milk shake would bring all the boys to the yard. Number 2. You are not old in the slightest and you are a great looking woman! So quit!

My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard but they are the total skeeves and droolers and gross lewd men. Sigh.
June 7th, 2011 at 8:24 pm
They need to realize, and fully understand, that we were milkshaking it before they were even born.
Just sayin’
June 7th, 2011 at 8:29 pm
Hey, if I were a boy I’d totally come into your yard if you were offering ice cream.

Hey, good for you! Seeing results like that is so encouraging. Just save the ice cream for those boys.

The ice cream is the best part of the milkshake.

MAFW — Oh great. Now I have that song in my head! Also, that video scares me.
Nora Blithe — I think it’s the only lyric through that whole song, isn’t it? And so you’d think I’d get it right, no?
Linda Medrano — Aw, you’re a sweetheart! My milkshake is getting there. It’s a little sloppy right now and spills over the edges, but by the end of summer? Look out!
sparkling74 — Oh my God. LMAO. I love the word ‘skeeves,’ by the way.
June — Don’t you know it!
Sharyn — Only the best. And it ain’t Ben & Jerrys. That would be Turkey Hill, but you can only get it here. That’s what she said.
injaynesworld — Yeah, real ice cream will screw up my milkshake. I almost bought a pint of gelato on the way home from work yesterday. There’s a place right next to where I work. But then I knew it would cancel out my workout and decided against it. Go me!
Mike Golch — Sometimes close is good enough.
Ferd — Cool in a “special” kind of way, right? Like how geeks and nerds are the new cool?
Laura — There’s an ice cream place near me that makes the best milkshakes. Real milky ice cream and they use a ton of it. Easily 1,000 calories. Those were the old days. I’m lovin’ my new milkshake!

There are so many worse reasons that people could be coming to your yard. At least you didn’t say “sticky toffee pudding.”

Well I’m so old I didn’t even know these were song lyrics, misquoted or not. In my defense I say it’s probably not in the UK charts.

I love the word doofus. I think it applies perfectly here (I’m laughing with you, not at you!).

I think you got it twisted up with David Lee Roth and his Ice Cream Man song. But I am also old, so I could be wrong.

Thomas — What is toffy pudding anyway? Would I like it? I like chocolate. I like toffee. I don’t love pudding.
Babs — Probably not. And I’m guessing you don’t know Daisy’s jelly song either. It’s from a song called Bootylicious. Yeah.
frogmama — As do I! It’s OK to laugh at me. I’ve been doing things like this for years, so you can get with the program.
Pricilla — And I don’t know why I even thought of it. I’m not normally a milkshake kind of girl, unless you’re talking double chocolate large.
Beth Ann — Oh, I got lots of shake yet. But I’m hoping not to by the end of summer.
serrajuniper — Yes, but you have to BYOM (bring your own milkshake)
J. Bear — But it’s funnier when we try. Although I gotta tell ya, it’s possible to be hip into your 80s. My father tore up the dance floor at a party for my niece, to the Nelly song “It’s Gettin’ Hot in Here (So Take Off All Your Clothes).” It was awesome.
Jenn — Oh, don’t make me look that up. I mercifully do not know the song to which you refer.
Daisy the Curly Cat — You so funny. I don’t think we’re ready for your jelly either. Although you can probably shake it like you mean business, especially on Fashion Fridays.

Ba-HAHAHA!!!!! I would have acted like I meant to say it like that. Because my ice cream DOES bring all the boys to the yard.
As does my hot fudge sundae. (WINK WINK)

I totally don’t know any new hip songs. Yo, it’s a midlife thing. You can’t remember anything especially lyrics. Forget about the music and get a good workout at a hibachi table.
Using chopsticks helps strengthen your hand and fingers. Taking Saki shots squirted from plastic bottles helps tighten your neck and cheek muscles. Though. you inevitably fall on your ass, which actually is good for the legs and thighs.
