I’m Dying to Get Lost Again
Fun January 7th, 2008No, not this kind of lost.
A totally different, addictive, bizarre kind of lost. The one you’ll find on ABC, January 31. Lost is back!
Herewith is an 8 minute and 15 second recap of the first three seasons. If you’re a Lost buff, you’ll get the meaning of an 8:15 clip.
Now listen to me. If you haven’t seen the show, but plan to catch it on DVD, DO NOT WATCH THIS. The clip will spoil everything for you.
Bonus: If you think you know everything about Lost, think again. If you’ve never stumbled onto Lostpedia, you don’t have a clue. I’ve seen every show, paid close attention, and still gained a book’s worth of information from this site. Lostpedia is scary comprehensive and it’s possible to lose a half a day in it. No, make that a day. No, make that a couple days.
Hit the restroom. Have your meals delivered. And get comfortable. You won’t believe how much is documented, and you won’t be able to leave it alone. Plan accordingly.

This has to be one of the more lame shows on TV. Why?
1. The fat guy is still fat.
2. People lose 25 pounds on Survivor in 16 weeks and this guy can’t drop two ounces in a few years.
3. I hate Survivor too but I digress.
4. And I almost forgot, a PLANE CRASHES and all these people SURVIVE. Riiiiiiight.

I missed the last 4 episodes of Lost last year. I’ll have to go to that site and catch up. I love that show!

gt281 — I don’t watch much either anymore since I started blogging. The only other show I watch regularly is The Amazing Race. I’m jonesing more for Lost since it’s been off the air for many months. Can’t wait!
Suzy — All I know is they better satisfy every one of my questions (I’m confused a lot), including the big one: Why is Hurley still so huge?
Laurie — It helped me to watch that clip because I’d forgotten some key things. Despite my effort to follow along, I’m still a little slow. My husband is forever explaining things to me. Sigh.

I wanted to watch that clip, but couldn’t. I’m starting to watch it on DVD… and… it’s….. so….. addictive… *twitch*

January 31 is ten lifetimes away, all of the sudden.
I agree, Lostpedia is awesome.
Suzy: Hurley’s still fat because he found the secret Dharma parachute drop of food. Also, he possibly has a thyroid condition. I’m just sayin’.

Will you still like me (assuming you like me in the first place) if I told you I have never seen it and have no interest in seeing it?
I must have gotten burned out on the whole “can’t get off this island” ploy with Gilligan’s Island.

I’ve never watched the show but after watching the clip – I have to say WOW ! It’s so insane that it rather be a video game on DVD !
I’d watch something like Lost if the story line involved the Enterprise crew, and their space ship crashing on another planet in the alpha quadrant – that would be more believable !

Regan — Very funny. I twitch, too.
JD — You’re right. And also they haven’t been on the island all that long. No one else is losing weight either. I guess with Hurley’s size, you’d expect to see a weight change. Then again, the show never focused so much on them struggling for food. Otherwise, it would just be Survivor and that gets old after a while. It’s more about the characters and storyline.
Jeff — Not a problem. You can’t imagine the number of shows I’m not interested in that are very popular. Just a matter of personal preference. Oh, man. Now I’m singing the theme from Gilligan’s Island. Curses!
Jaffer — If they ever had a Lost video game, I would be doomed from the beginning. I’m not a good story-follower. My husband is great at those story-type xBox games because he can remember a lot of detail, people and locations. I’m clueless and it’s sad.

Maureen! Thanks for posting that. What a great story. Loved how Phil played along with your “pit stop” visit. How cool is he? Oh, man. So jealous!

Oooohhh…I can’t wait. I got hooked on Lost last year…they did a retrospective show…where they caught up everything from the beginning and I got hooked. I’ll have to eventually watch all the old shows now.

DrowseyMonkey — I could see myself watching the entire series over again. It’d probably take me 6 months, but I’d do it.

Aika — Only four more days!
Regan — I never understood the foot statue. This probably won’t help: http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Four-Toed_Statue
